Chief Financial Officer

A high-growth and innovative software company is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive financial strategy, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. This is a pivotal role within a scaling business, requiring a commercially astute leader with a proven track record in technology, SaaS, or software-driven industries.

As CFO, you will work closely with the CEO, Board, and investors, leading on financial planning, M&A, fundraising, and risk management. You will oversee the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls while providing strategic insight to support international expansion and commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape and execute financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead fundraising and investor relations, working with venture capital, private equity, and institutional investors.
• Drive M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, and financial modelling.
• Provide strategic financial insights to guide decision-making at Board level.
• Strengthen financial governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management to support scalability.
• Build and develop a high-performing finance team, embedding best practices and operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Extensive leadership experience in a software, SaaS, or technology-driven business.
• Strong expertise in fundraising, M&A, and investor relations.
• Proven success in scaling businesses, managing financial risk, and driving commercial growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at Board level.
• Agile and hands-on leader, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
